American Idol Fan

Fantasia Barrino is no stranger to struggles during her life.  While things were definitely on the up swing with her American Idol win and other accomplishments since that time, she recently had more struggles to deal with - a throat tumor that was causing her to feel drained and exhausted.  Fantasia said that this is why she had to end her run on Broadway with “The Color Purple”. 

Fantasia tells Sister 2 Sister Magazine:

“I couldn’t get enough sleep and sometimes onstage, I could taste blood … every now and then. They (producers) would send me to the hospitals and they would say, ‘Well, she’s dehydrated; that’s what’s making her tired.’ They would put IVs in me. But it just wasn’t enough.”

Fantasia felt sure something was really wrong and after a visit to a top doctor, she found out about the throat tumor. Fantasia is recovering well after her surgery but the negative press she has received has been hard on her.
